It's amusing yet oddly discomforting to see that there's so much gossip about politicians, but more so when the President himself is involved. Could President Obama be the next former President Bill Clinton? Affairs with White House aides? *gasp*
Just kidding. I assume that I just have faith in President Obama and his moral compass, that he can "keep it in his pants," as we say today. But to even be put in the situation where this type of gossip can begin to spread, that's quite ridiculous. According to the National Enquirer, there are rumors spreading that President Obama has been having an affair.
Pshaw. Get over it everyone, that's not really the most important or attractive news of today. But of course, there are people who simply thrive off celebrity gossip. Maybe they should be spending more time reading the news? Or my blog? *ahem*. Why do people get sucked into this black hole of useless, materialistic celebrity gossip. It's not really that interesting, and those topics get old real fast. My generation seems to be enthralled with these types of news such as Perez Hilton or People magazine. It's quite interesting to read about when I'm sitting in the doctor's waiting room or on a plane ride, but I'm not sure it's something that I'm inclined to update myself on every day of the week.
Maybe this is why Americans are becoming so obese. We eat fast food constantly because we lose track of time reading these gossip magazines.
